Dr Alex Martin MDAlex Martin, MD – Medical Director

Dr. Martin specializes in regenerative medicine with an emphasis on human growth hormone (HGH) and stem cell therapy for men and women of all ages.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Alex Martin completed his post-graduate studies at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in 1972 and completed his MD degree from UCLA ‘s Internal Medicine Medical-Surgical Program at Cedars-Sinai in 1973. Dr. Martin continued on with a fellowship at the University of Bordeaux where he did clinical research on DHEA, HGH and other anti-aging hormones and anti-oxidants.  Following his studies abroad, he returned home at the invitation of one of his Medical School professors to co-found  the Friendly Hills Medical Group in Los Angeles County in the mid 1970s.

Following two decades of clinical work, Dr. Martin continued his research in HGH and anti-aging treatments. After receiving further degrees at UCLA, Dr. Martin opened a private anti-aging practice in Newport Beach, California, where, in 1998, he was the first in the region to initiate HGH therapy for pediatric patients who were delayed in growing and who were all below the 50th percentile on the growth curve.

In 2009, Dr. Martin was invited by the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital to establish a high-profile practice with offices on Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame in the heart of Hollywood near Hollywood and Highland. The new office opened and multiple new anti-aging services, in addition to a new and improved delivery system for HGH, were added to the arsenal of strategies Dr. Martin has developed for combating and slowing down the effects of aging.  Two highly-effective plastic surgeons were added to the practice; a nutritionist with the latest in nutritional programs, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and sports trainers joined the team this year to round out the fight against premature aging and disability.

Dr. Martin, and the team at MetroMD Hollywood, are leading the field in offering the latest technology in stem cell therapy and soon, nano therapy, in the struggle to keep all of us young, healthy, and functioning at the highest level possible. A greater focus on athletes, performance and the physiology of aging in highly-active seniors will be the target subjects for research in the coming years.  We look forward to innovations introduced from around the World in the never-ending campaign to keep each one of us healthy and looking and feeling our best.
